Molly Mustonen, a Soprano of Finnish descent, most recently earned enthusiastic acclaim from the New York Times for bringing a "powerful sound and striking stage presence" to her performance of Tallulah Carter in the New York premiere of Thomas Pasatieri's opera
The Hotel Casablanca.

In 2009-2008, Molly was delighted to perform the role of Ms. Hedgehog in the New York debut of Tobias Picker's The Fantastic Mr. Fox. She also appeared as Nedda in Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci with Myriad Opera, Beauty in Vittorio Giannini's Beauty and the Beast, Elvira in Rossini's L' Italiana in Algeri, as well as multiple performances as Martha Sheldon in the award winning production of Robert Ward's The Crucible, which was televised across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from Hungary's prestigious Szeged National Theatre.

Additional past operatic performances include Frasquita in Bizet's Carmen with Opera of the Hamptons, Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme, The Wife in Wargo's The Music Shop (cover), Madame Silverpiel in The Impresario by Mozart, Romilda in Handel's Serse, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro,
Musetta in La Boheme, and Laurie in Aaron Copland's The Tender Land.

Ms. Mustonen also maintains an active concert schedule both in the United States and abroad.
Molly has twice been a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall with the Pacific Opera Company, and was recently chosen to perform an exclusive concert of arias for the Italian ambassador to the United Nations. She has enjoyed concert engagements with Dicapo Opera Theatre, Opera of the Hamptons, Ridotto Opera, Myriad Opera, Festa Lirica Italiana, and has traveled across America and Europe as part of the renowned Concordia Choir, with which she was honored to be a featured soloist in the world premiere of Rene Clausen's Memorial: A Tribute to 9/11 in Avery Fischer Hall at Lincoln Center.

Ms. Mustonen has received numerous awards including the District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Council auditions, Award for Dramatic Performance in the Five Towns Musician's Competition of Long Island, the Franco Gentilesca Young Artist Award from Opera of the Hamptons. Most recently Molly advanced as a finalist in the Armel Opera Competition and Festival. As a finalist Molly will perform the role of Nina in Pasatieri's The Seagull this Fall in New York City and Hungary. Ms. Mustonen will also sing in a gala awards concert that be televised live across Europe in mid November.

Molly earned degrees in Vocal Performance and Piano Studies from Concordia College in Minnesota.
She currently resides in New York with her husband and two dogs, Oscar and Nelson.
